School of Liberal Arts and Education General Summary Candidates should have a grasp of the vocabulary, media, techniques, and purposes of the creative process. The instructor should prepare students to critically interpret and evaluate works of art within formal, cultural, and historical contexts Specific Position Duties The instructor should be able to demonstrate and successfully communicate the following learning outcomes: Apply art terminology as it specifically relates to works of art. Demonstrate knowledge of art elements and principles of design. Differentiate between the processes and materials used in the production of various works of art. Critically interpret and evaluate works of art. Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of arts on culture. Curriculum for this class is provided by the college. Candidates must be technically proficient in Blackboard (preferably Blackboard ULTRA), and must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Minimum Qualifications Doctorate, Master's Degree, or MFA in Art, Studio Art, Painting, or Art History, OR Doctorate or Master's Degree and 18 graduate hours in
