Job Description

Visual Arts Teacher for
Redmond Art Works Compensation:
DOE Positions:
Part-Time We are looking to add another skilled visual arts teacher to our team. Prior experience teaching children or adults art is required. This is an hourly position leading weekly and one time classes in the visual arts field. Starting lesson plans are provided along with room for additional classes/content to be created by teacher. Redmond Art Works is looking to hire a high-energy team member that can teach lessons in drawing, painting, and mixed media projects. We are looking for vibrant, adaptable, and positive individuals with excellent customer service skills for our team. This is an hourly position, offering part time but can work up to full time for the right candidate over time. Current classes offered through June include: Drawing 1
  • Painting 1
  • Seasonal date night and family classes
  • all for ages 8
  • adult 4
  • 5 Specialized Classes per week Current Schedule is : Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 4:00
  • 7:15pm

  • Required skills and duties:
  • Follow and fine tune lesson plans while accommodating particular needs of students
  • Ability to develop relationships with our artist community and current teaching staff
  • Self-starter that has ability to multi task
  • Positively promoting the mission, vision, and values of RAW There will also be an opportunity to explore other skills and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Introducing new classes and workshops
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Teaching and/or art experience focused in 2D art

Please confirm you are available Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 4-7:15pm through mid-June. Your teaching hours can increase to more full time work if wanted as you take on more classes or projects in the studio over time.
