Artist Job Description Artist Entertainer/Instructor Wine & Design

  • 12 during training, $15 starting when training complete) Wine & Design, a leader in the paint-and-sip industry, is excited to need a fun, charismatic art instructor for our location in Madison!
!! Customers will follow your instruction while they paint on their own stretched canvases with acrylic paint. The ideal person for this job will have an outgoing, captivating personality, strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, positive attitude and the ability to work quickly and energetically with our team of artists. Shift Description 4-hour shifts (1 hour of prep, 2 hour class, 1 hour of cleanup). Needed for In-studio classes and opportunity for On-Wheels instructor at other locations such as bars and restaurants, times and days would vary. Weekday opportunities for On Wheels and corporate Team Building events. Additionally we have a summer camp this August 10-14 that need an instructor. Kids age 6-12 Monday to Friday 8am-2pm. Each week will have a different theme. Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Creating & re-creating paintings to be taught in classes and used for promotional items Developing & executing detailed teaching methods. Classroom prep and cleanup Instructing customers during class in an energetic, clear and well-paced manner while encouraging creativity and creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere Assisting customers and staff member(s) to ensure smooth class flow and promote customer painting success through teamwork and positive attitude. Pouring wine and mixing drinks to serve to customers.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to re-create original acrylic paintings in various painting styles. Basic computer skills and internet knowledge (and have access to a the internet) Public Speaking or performance skills (comfortable speaking on a microphone) Time management and communication skills Flexibility with schedule-classes are assigned 2-3 months out, but sometimes classes are canceled the day of if there are no registrations, or you may be requested to teach a private party that wants to book (those are usually booked at least a couple weeks out).
Preferred Education/Experience:
College-level courses or Degree in Art or Design related field Some experience leading a group of people (classroom or otherwise) Experience in customer service Experience in the service industry bar or restaurant Required experience:
