Job Description:
Anchorage Waldorf School is seeking a Language Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position is open to any world language outside of English (Russian, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, etc.). The language teacher will work with students from Grades 1-8, motivating children to have an open heart to foreign language and culture. A well-rounded teacher will fit this role by using songs, games, dramatizations and more to teach vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, cultural practices as well as written and oral skills.Position Overview:

This is a non-exempt part-time position averaging 15 hours a week.Schedule:
Schedule would fall between Monday-Friday 11-3pm. Potential flexibility on days/times. Inquire for more details.- Start date: August 2026
Requirements:
- Fluency in language to be taught
- Experience teaching children, ages 6-14
- Waldorf trained/in training (or commitment to learning and practicing the Waldorf pedagogy)
- Ability to plan and deliver diverse curriculum
- Organized, dependable, punctual
- Able to work collaboratively
Compensation:
- Pay commensurate with experience ($25.00/hr)
- Tuition remission available
