This position begins on August 23, 2026 , and is expected to continue throughout the entire school year , including both the Fall and Spring semesters . Schedule Weekdays after 3:30 PM Sundays Approximately 6-9 hours per week About the Role Golden Sunshine Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced Bilingual Mandarin Chinese Teacher who is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English . This position is ideal for an educator who not only teaches Chinese language but also understands both Chinese and American cultures and can effectively bridge the cultural and educational differences that many bilingual students experience. Our students and families often navigate both cultures, so we are looking for a teacher who can communicate comfortably with students and parents in both languages and help students thrive in a multicultural learning environment. This position begins on August 23, 2026 , and is an ongoing part-time role that continues throughout the academic year, including both the Fall and Spring semesters . Responsibilities Teach Mandarin Chinese through engaging, age-appropriate lessons. Develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Integrate Chinese culture into classroom instruction while helping students connect it to their experiences in American culture. Foster an engaging, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff in both English and Mandarin. Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback. Help students build confidence in becoming bilingual and bicultural learners. Qualifications Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English (required). Deep understanding of both Chinese and American cultures and the ability to bridge cultural differences in the classroom (required). Previous teaching experience is required. Passion for teaching children and helping them succeed academically and culturally. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic.
