• 60,000 per year, depending on experienceTraining begins August 20, 2026 | Classes begin August 31, 2026 Intiwasi Spanish Immersion School is seeking a warm, creative, and passionate 1st Grade Spanish Immersion Teacher to join our growing elementary program.

We are a small, collaborative school guided by our philosophy: Think. Create. Connect. At Intiwasi, we believe children learn best when they are actively involved in their learning. By asking questions, investigating, experimenting, creating, collaborating, and making connections to the world around them students are active participants of their learning experience Our program combines Spanish immersion, IB PYP inquiry-based learning, Singapore Math, FOSS hands-on science, strong literacy instruction, and whole-child education. We are looking for an educator who can create a classroom that is joyful and nurturing while maintaining strong routines, expectations, and academic rigor. What You'll Do Lead a 1st Grade Spanish immersion classroom Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons Teach literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and interdisciplinary units Create hands-on and inquiry-based learning experiences Establish positive and consistent classroom routines Differentiate instruction to meet students' individual needs Assess and document student learning and progress Build strong relationships with students and families Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school leadership Participate in professional development, planning, and school events Who We're Looking For Strong Spanish proficiency required Ability to communicate effectively in English Experience working with elementary-aged children Strong classroom management skills Warm, dependable, organized, and collaborative Comfortable receiving feedback and collaborating . Interested in professional development and continuing to grow professionally Passionate about hands-on, inquiry-based and whole-child learning A California teaching credential is welcomed but NOT required. We strongly encourage applications from bilingual educators, experienced private-school teachers, international educators authorized to work in the United States, associate teachers ready to become lead teachers, and emerging educators with strong classroom experience. Previous experience with IB PYP, Singapore Math, FOSS, or Spanish immersion is a plus but not required. Training and curriculum support will be provided. Why Intiwasi?
