• Please note this is a substitute position and hours will not be consistent We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic ESL (English as a Second Language) Educator to become a valued member of our educational team.

The ideal contender will demonstrate a firm dedication to nurturing a supportive and interactive learning environment for students representing diverse linguistic backgrounds. The primary responsibility involves instructing non-native speakers in English language proficiency, aiding them in mastering reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Responsibilities:

• You will be called upon to collaborate with and cover for our current ESL Teacher.
• Hours will be 0-12 hours per week and teacher 0-2 times per week depending on what is needed.
• Create and execute customized lesson plans catering to students of varying proficiency levels.
• Conduct captivating classroom activities that facilitate language acquisition and literacy development.
• Effectively manage classroom dynamics to foster a positive learning environment.
• Offer personalized assistance and tutoring to students in need of extra support.
• Regularly assess student advancement and deliver constructive feedback.
• Promote an inclusive setting that values cultural diversity and advocates for bilingual communication.
• Collaborate with peers to enrich curriculum design and exchange effective strategies in adult language education.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related discipline; mandatory teaching certification.
• Background in literacy education, classroom management, and lesson preparation.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth within the realm of language education.
