Job Description

After School Enrichment Program is a growing non-profit that believes in the greater community and the power of youth development. We are in search for passionate Program Leaders and Spanish Instructors that want to make a difference in the lives of children. Here are the skills an excellent candidate has: Be highly alert, focused and take proactive, preventative measures to keep all students safe. Develop and maintain positive teacher-students and peer relationships implement classroom management procedures for all activities and transitions (training provided) Be an active participant in group, staff and professional development meetings Maintain day-school classrooms clean and organized Communicate, with a respectful and positive attitude all in the ASEP Community Safely use technology/electronic tools/supplies maintain quality of all equipment. Arrive to schedule shift, meetings and trainings on time. Demonstrate maturity when dealing with children and sensitive issues Being willing to organize and enthusiastically participate in out door games on the play yard MUST Have a sense of humor Additionally for
Spanish Instructor:
Motivate each student to develop competencies, knowledge and skills in comprehending, speaking, reading and writing Spanish as a foreign language in accordance with each student's ability. Implement ASEP's Spanish Language Program curriculum with pre-design instructional plans. Innovate, create or adapt the curriculum in real-time of class activities
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age Must have high school degree or equivalent Fingerprint and Department of Justice clearance. TB clearance Demonstrate fluency with teaching written and spoken Spanish. Must have strong reading comprehension and ability to articulate fluent Spanish, clear and accurately Interested and passionate in working with children Ability to maintain professional boundaries with peers, students, community members Must be available at these hours:
MANDATORY
  • Staff Professional Development Week
  • August 10-14 First day of 26-27 Academic Year

McKinley Elementary:
Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:30pm-6pm (staff meeting) Wednesday from 12:50pm-6pm Thursdays from 12:15pm-1:15pm (planning), 1:45pm-6pm Fridays from 11:30am-1:00pm (planning), 1:30pm-6pm
