Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic After School Mandarin speaking Art Teacher to inspire creativity and foster artistic development among students in our community. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging visual art lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels, incorporating curriculum development best practices. Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Facilitate a variety of art projects using different mediums such as painting, drawing, clay, and mixed media. Support students' individual artistic growth through constructive feedback and encouragement. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to monitor student progress and foster a supportive community for youth programs. Maintain organized lesson plans, classroom supplies, and student portfolios while adhering to safety standards. Skills Strong background in curriculum development for visual arts and creative arts instruction. Ability to speak Mandarin Proven experience working with children in educational or youth program settings. Expertise in teaching visual arts techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, or mixed media. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies. Experience with lesson planning tailored to preschool through elementary age groups. Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills for working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. 3 days per week in the afternoons from 2:30-6 pm. 2 classes per afternoon.
