Experience :
Minimum 1-2 years teaching ESL in adult education setting
Additional Requirements:
Computer literate and familiar with Google Classroom. 1-2 years teaching ESL in adult education setting. This position is a part-time position; 7 hours (Evening hours) Homebound hourly rate $45.00/ hr.
Position Summary:
Teaching English at a beginners level to multilingual adult learners. Instruction will be based on CELP standards with a strong emphasis on improving conversation skills. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge at this level of instruction with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds and native languages. Bilingual Spanish/ English speakers are preferred. Our goal is to provide ESL instruction to students that will enable them to transition into intermeditate/ advanced class.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
Valid CT teaching certification with 088 ESL instruction endorsement Ability to interpret data from placement test to inform instruction Flexibility in lesson planning and instruction Knowledge of CELP standards and how to implement them into instruction Attend required/relevant professional development training offered through
