This part-time contract opportunity involves working three days per week, helping learners thrive in both English and Spanish. Your cultural understanding and instructional skills will be central to fostering student engagement, language growth, and academic achievement.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid state teaching certificate with TESOL or bilingual education endorsement Required education, preparation, and examination credentials completed Fluency in both English and Spanish, with strong communication abilities in both languages Prior experience in general education or ELL classrooms preferred Strong classroom management and student support skills Ability to design inclusive and engaging lessons for multi-language learners Collaborative approach with educators, support staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction to English Language Learners in support of their language development and academic success Facilitate lessons both in English and Spanish, adapting materials and approaches for diverse learning needs Assess student progress, language proficiency, and adjust teaching strategies to address individual strengths and areas for growth Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators to integrate language supports across content areas Maintain accurate records in alignment with program and district guidelines Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity Communicate regularly with families and caregivers, supporting their involvement in student learning This part-time assignment allows for a meaningful impact while maintaining flexibility in your schedule.
