ESOL Teacher (.20 FTE)

Stratford High School, Stratford, CT Reports To:
Building Principal / World Language & ESOL Coordinator Job Summary Stratford High School seeks a dedicated, student-centered .2 ESOL Teacher to deliver high-quality language instruction to Multilingual Learners (MLs) in grades 9-12. This part-time position involves teaching dedicated ESOL coursework and supporting MLs' academic success across core content areas. Key Responsibilities Provide target language instruction focusing on reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills aligned with Connecticut English Language Proficiency (CELP) standards. Differentiate instruction and scaffold content materials to support students at varying proficiency levels. Monitor language development progress and administer mandated state language assessments (e.g., LAS Links). Collaborate with general education teachers to implement effective language accommodations. Communicate regularly with families to foster strong school-home partnerships.
