Japanese Language Instructor Vin-Ter Language School is seeking a passionate and qualified Japanese Language Instructor to join our growing teaching team. The instructor will provide engaging, interactive Japanese lessons to students in the Washington, DC area, including in-person lessons at students' homes . Position Responsibilities Teach Japanese through one-on-one and/or group classes . Travel to students' homes in the Washington, DC area for in-person lessons. Develop engaging lessons following Vin-Ter's teaching methods and curriculum. Help students improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Create a positive, encouraging, and interactive learning environment. Adapt lessons to students' individual learning needs and goals. Encourage students to actively participate and communicate in Japanese. Track student progress and provide appropriate feedback. Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and the Vin-Ter team. Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes. Participate in training, meetings, and other teaching-related activities when requested. Travel & Transportation This position may require the instructor to travel to students' homes in Washington, DC . Vin-Ter will reimburse reasonable commuting/travel expenses , including gas or other approved transportation costs, for required travel to student locations. Travel reimbursement will be discussed and arranged based on the class location and schedule. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Japanese ; native or near-native proficiency preferred. Previous Japanese teaching or tutoring experience is preferred. Experience teaching children, teenagers, or adults is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Energetic, patient, enthusiastic, and comfortable interacting with students. Ability to create fun and engaging lessons. Reliable, professional, and responsible. Comfortable traveling to students' homes in the Washington, DC area. Teaching certification or a degree in Japanese, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
