General Purpose We are seeking an experienced educator with a strong background in the Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE / AS & A Level / Primary / Lower Secondary). The ideal candidate is confident delivering syllabus‑aligned instruction, preparing students for Cambridge examinations, and using Cambridge assessment standards to guide teaching and learning. We seek a dynamic, culturally responsive Spanish teacher to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging, high‑quality instruction in Spanish language and culture—from conversational fluency to literary and written expression. The role emphasizes bilingual proficiency, cultural understanding, and college/career readiness , including possible Advanced Placement and interdisciplinary integration Required Qualifications & Experience Proven experience teaching within the Cambridge International curriculum Strong understanding of Cambridge assessment criteria and exam preparation Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills Passionate educator with strong Spanish language skills and cultural knowledge. Experience in AP Spanish or advanced language instruction preferred. Ability to adapt to diverse learners and integrate technology into instruction. Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and culturally rich learning environment Main Job Duties and Responsibilities Create and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards, and in‑school benchmarks.
Teach all language domains:
listening, speaking, reading, writing . Integrate literature, multimedia, and cultural exploration . Develop frameworks for AP Spanish or upper‑level courses when applicable. Assessment & Student Progress Design formative and summative assessments (oral proficiency, written exams, performance tasks). Track student growth using proficiency rubrics, and gradebooks. Provide timely feedback to students and families; participate in conferences. Offer intervention sessions, study support, and differentiation for all learners, including heritage speakers and emerging bilinguals
