$50,400+ (BA 0-4, 1.0 FTE, 2026-27) Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and qualified High School German Teacher to join our World Languages Department. The ideal candidate will foster a love for the German language while helping students develop strong communication skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Required Qualifications:

Must have or be able to obtain Iowa certification and 5-12 German Endorsement

Applicants must have valid U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or an active work visa.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging German language lessons aligned with state and national standards

Teach multiple levels of German

Integrate cultural content from German speaking countries into instruction

Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
