Pay range of $50,000 - $65,983/yr

Iowa teaching license 5-12 Spanish

Reports to: Principal or Designee

Job Description/Responsibilities:
  • Teaches Spanish grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, spelling, composition, and dialogue and, as possible, Spanish literature, history, and culture to high school and/or middle school students.
  • Develops and implements programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skills to be delivered in a classroom setting for assigned students.
  • Implements the district curriculum, standards and benchmarks.
  • Assists in planning and delivery of social/emotional/behavioral school-wide programming.
  • Collaborates with the administration, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals.
  • Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Education, Communication, or related field.
  • Valid State of Iowa teaching license with grades 5-12 Spanish endorsement, including a Preliminary Native Language Teaching Authorization with grades 5-12 Spanish endorsement.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English languages.
