Job Description
Voice Instructor / Voice Teacher — Independent Contractor Fine Arts Voice, Inc. | Northbrook, Illinois Fine Arts Voice is a growing private music studio in Northbrook, Illinois, seeking an experienced, highly dependable Voice Instructor to join our faculty. We are looking for more than someone to cover a few lessons. Our goal is to find an exceptional educator who is interested in establishing a long-term teaching relationship with Fine Arts Voice and gradually building a consistent private student roster with us. About the Opportunity This is an independent contractor teaching position that will begin with a small number of students and has the opportunity to grow as enrollment increases. Fine Arts Voice provides the professional studio environment and handles student enrollment, tuition collection, scheduling systems, studio policies, recitals, professional studio space and marketing, allowing instructors to focus primarily on teaching and developing their students. Because continuity is important to our students and families, we are especially interested in candidates who are looking for a studio where they can teach for years rather than for a single semester or short-term engagement. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for an instructor who:
- Has significant private voice teaching experience
- Has a strong understanding of healthy vocal technique and vocal pedagogy
- Genuinely enjoys teaching children and adolescents
- Is comfortable teaching musical theatre, contemporary, and classical repertoire
- Can adapt instruction to different ages, abilities, and learning styles
- Communicates professionally with students, parents, and studio administration
- Is exceptionally reliable, punctual, and organized
- Can consistently maintain an agreed-upon weekly teaching schedule
- Is interested in gradually developing a larger teaching roster with Fine Arts Voice Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or graduate degree in Voice, Vocal Performance, Music Education, Vocal Pedagogy, or a related field Several years of private voice teaching experience Experience teaching children and adolescents Strong vocal pedagogy background Experience with musical theatre and contemporary vocal styles Classical training Piano proficiency sufficient for vocal exercises.
- 60 per teaching hour, commensurate with experience.
Northbrook, Illinois Pay:
$45.00- $60.
