A Bilingual, ESL, or Language Teacher teaches foreign languages to students in elementary to secondary schools. This includes English as a second language. Common foreign languages which are taught are Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, German, Dutch, Russian, Mandarin, and Arabic.
Immediately La Lumiere School is excited to welcome applications for the position of Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching high school Spanish, likely at various levels, as well as working with students outside of the classroom. They should be passionate about igniting students' interest in exploring the world around them through languages. In the World Languages Department, we focus on meeting students where they are, differentiating instruction effectively, and supporting students' academic and personal growth. Primary Responsibilities Teach 4 sections of classes each semester (2 preps) Support ELL students Sponsor/supervise a co-curricular activity during two seasons Serve as an advisor to a group of approximately eight students Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the relevant academic discipline. Master's degree preferred.
