Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Inspire students to discover a world of language and culture as a full-time Spanish teacher in a high school setting. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to engage with learners and foster bilingual communication skills while following a traditional academic calendar. You'll play a key part in preparing students for global citizenship, imparting not only language proficiency, but also an appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Louisiana Spanish/Foreign Language Educator Certificate (high school grade levels) Proven experience as a General Education or Spanish teacher in a classroom setting Strong command of the Spanish language, both written and spoken Dynamic classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and support diverse learners Commitment to creating engaging, culturally relevant lesson plans and assessments
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, standards-based Spanish instruction to high school students onsite, tailoring lessons to a wide range of learning abilities Develop and implement lesson plans, activities, and assessments that promote language acquisition and cultural awareness Manage all classroom duties, including grading, parent communication, and participation in school-based meetings and events Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs and interests Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
