Job Description:
Malden Public Schools have a Sheltered English Immersion program, where students who are English Learners receive services through a combination of push-in and pull-out support from ESL teachers, as well as sheltered content instruction from all educators. ESL teachers, first and foremost, are advocates for their students, building strong relationships with students and families, upholding high expectations and providing high support to students to meet those expectations. Teaching duties include a combination of push-in and pullout services, engaging collaboratively with content teachers during common planning time, and maintaining compliance expectations for a caseload of students.
Qualifications:
DESE licensed in English as a Second Language PreK-6 or 5-12 required SEI Teacher Endorsement required Experience teaching ESL in urban settings preferred A deep and abiding belief that all students can learn; a firm commitment to do right by all kids Salemwood School

Salary:
Commensurate with Malden Public Schools' Unit A salary schedule.
