Aug 30, 2026 Job Description Spanish Teacher Bishop Fenwick High School is looking for a full-time, talented and innovative Spanish teacher for the 2026-2027 school year with excellent content knowledge; a passion for teaching and learning; enthusiasm for working with students, families, and colleagues; a positive attitude; and a growth mindset. She or he will inspire and empower students to learn. Fenwick is a Catholic, co-educational, college prep school providing education for life. The Fenwick experience empowers students to seek and achieve excellence intellectually, creatively, physically, morally, and spiritually, recognizing their responsibility to serve and to lead. Located in Peabody, MA and operating independently within the Archdiocese of Boston, Fenwick is a close-knit, student-centered, and character-driven community that focuses on the whole person and forms lifelong relationships. Qualified applicants will meet the following criteria:- Degree in Spanish or similar field required; master's degree (preferred)
- Native or near-native Spanish proficiency
- Minimum of two years teaching experience (preferred)
- Ability to teach a range of Spanish classes from introductory to advanced levels Teaching responsibilities include:
- Five sections of Spanish, typically with three preps at most
- Developing, revising, and assessing curriculum, instructional materials, assessments, and teaching practices
- Designing thoughtful, intentional lesson plans to engage and challenge students through active learning
- Differentiating instruction to build on student strengths and to develop essential skills
- Utilizing a communicative approach to build language proficiency
- Communicating regularly and effectively with students and families about student progress Additional responsibilities include:
- Attending and contributing to meetings during and after the school day, including, but not limited to, department, committee, and grade-level meetings
- Participating in the life of Fenwick by attending community events, being present for major school functions, and supporting the overall mission and culture of the school The successful candidate will possess:
