West Springfield Public SchoolsResponsibilities:
  • Provide systematic, explicit, and sustained language instruction to ELs
  • Utilize WIDA Can-Dos to address academic & linguistic skills and vocabulary needs to accelerate language in each of the domains
  • Collaborate with SCI (Sheltered Content Instructors) to focus on academic & linguistic support needs in the classroom
  • Administer progress-monitoring assessments
  • Review data to determine learning goals for SSPs
  • Complete WIDA report cards
  • Maintain EL caseload (data, progress, SSPs) in Ellevation
  • Support the implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics
  • Provide updates to families on curriculum and strategies of support for learners at school and home.
Salary:
Per Unit A Contract (salary range: $53,939
