West Springfield Public SchoolsResponsibilities:
- Provide systematic, explicit, and sustained language instruction to ELs
- Utilize WIDA Can-Dos to address academic & linguistic skills and vocabulary needs to accelerate language in each of the domains
- Collaborate with SCI (Sheltered Content Instructors) to focus on academic & linguistic support needs in the classroom
- Administer progress-monitoring assessments
- Review data to determine learning goals for SSPs
- Complete WIDA report cards
- Maintain EL caseload (data, progress, SSPs) in Ellevation
- Support the implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics
- Provide updates to families on curriculum and strategies of support for learners at school and home.
Salary:
Per Unit A Contract (salary range: $53,939- $102,056)
