Job Description

Looking to be part of an innovative and fast-growing institution that prepares students to be global citizens and life-long learners? Springdale Preparatory School seeks a qualified Spanish Teacher to join our talented team beginning Academic Year 2026-27. Qualified candidates should have experience teaching multiple levels of Spanish language and culture from introductory to advance levels to a wide range of diverse learners in grades 8 th to 12 th . This position supports the development of Spanish language skills and explores a deeper understanding about the cultures in Spanish-speaking parts of the world. Springdale Preparatory School is a co-educational multicultural collegiate boarding and day school located on a sprawling 51-acre campus in New Windsor, Maryland for students in grades 6 th through 12 th . Springdale offers a rigorous curriculum based on real-world application to equip students socially, academically, and emotionally. Springdale teachers offer differentiated and globally minded instruction to students in small class sizes. Full-time teachers are responsible for teaching four or five classes per academic year, as well as participating in extracurricular activities. World language teachers should have the ability to infuse technology to create inquiry and project-based lessons and incorporate various immersion methods in lesson delivery. Springdale teachers encourage and support students though a positive learning environment. Qualified applicants should have the following in education and experience: Bachelor's Degree in Spanish, Education, or related field (required) Spanish fluency and expertise (required) Master's Degree in Spanish, Education, or or related field (preferred) Prior experience teaching students in grades 6 to 12 Commitment to using professional role to further the creation of an equitable and inclusive school community Empathetic and able to cultivate positive relationships with young people Use of reflection and feedback aimed at continued growth Proficiency with or ability to learn Blackbaud or other online learning platforms Teaching certification is not required This is a full-time, 10-months, exempt position. Campus housing is available.
