Job Description
Part-Time Upper School ASL Teacher (Grades 9-12) Please note: We do not sponsor out-of-country applicants. Overview Christ Classical Academy of Charlotte is seeking a highly qualified, part-time (3 mornings per week (approximately 3.5 hours per week total) American Sign Language (ASL) teacher for our High School (9th-12th grade) students The ideal candidate is a born-again Christian who is passionate about teaching language and culture through engaging, Christ-centered instruction. We're looking for someone energetic, creative, and dedicated to helping students grow in both their ASL skills and their walk with the Lord. Qualifications Must be a born-again Christian with a clear testimony of faith. Experience teaching. Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills. A heart for Christian education and student discipleship. Bachelor's degree required; teaching certification preferred. Responsibilities-ASL Teacher Teach ASL to 9th-12th grade students using interactive, creative, and meaningful lessons. Plan activities that support different learning styles and promote active participation. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture grounded in Christian character. Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents and administrators. Participate in school meetings, events, and community life as needed.
