Part-Time Chinese Teacher Chinese School of South Jersey Cherry Hill, NJ Job Details Part-time From $25 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Professional development assistance Qualifications Mandarin Undergraduate degree English Working with students Classroom experience Lesson planning Chinese Teaching Full Job Description Job Overview Chinese School of South Jersey (CSSJ) is seeking enthusiastic teachers to teach Chinese language classes on Sunday afternoons at Rosa International Middle School in Cherry Hill starting September 2026. Teachers will plan, prepare, and implement lessons, as well as work with the academic team to optimize students' Chinese learning experience. Responsibilities Teach 2 hours of adult class on Sundays (15 in a semester, 30 in a school year). Plan and prepare for lessons with care and thoughtfulness. Attend school punctually and reliably. Participate and support students in school-wide events (Chinese New Year performances, Speech Event, and Open House). Communicate regularly with students about course content, class expectations, and any issues that might be affecting students' learning. Communicate effectively with the administrative team and respond to emails or calls promptly. Attend faculty meetings, professional development, and collaborative discussions. Qualifications Advanced or professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese. Good working proficiency in English. Interest and comfort in working with young learners of different levels. Prior experience working with students in a classroom setting is highly desirable but not required. A commitment to create an engaging, enjoyable process for learning Chinese language and culture. A willingness to learn and to improve continuously. Openness to observations, feedback, and collaboration. Knowledge of Hanyu pinyin and traditional Chinese characters. For teaching Chinese as a
Second Language:
