Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Spanish and ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to inspire language learners of diverse backgrounds. In this role, you will design engaging curricula, facilitate immersive language experiences, and foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes linguistic proficiency and cultural understanding. Your enthusiasm for teaching, combined with your expertise in language instruction, will empower students to achieve their communication goals and develop confidence in their language skills. Successful candidates will be certified to teach Spanish and ESL in New Jersey. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative teaching methods and learning technology tools. Deliver engaging lessons in both Spanish and English, utilizing effective classroom management strategies to maintain an inclusive learning environment. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and informal assessments. Provide individualized support through tutoring sessions, mentoring, and tailored instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs. Incorporate principles of literacy education, linguistics, and creative writing to enhance language acquisition and cultural awareness. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and educational initiatives to improve program quality. Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral management efforts in accordance with educational policies. Skills Strong knowledge of curriculum development. Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and working effectively with students across various age groups. Expertise in language instruction for both ESL learners and native Spanish speakers, including literacy education and bilingual education strategies. Familiarity with learning technology platforms, research methods, and instructional design principles to enhance teaching effectiveness. Excellent communication skills for engaging students, mentoring peers, and collaborating with educational staff. Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple classes, assessments, and administrative responsibilities efficiently. Experience with standardized testing preparation, and special education accommodations, is a plus.
Pay:
$61,695.00 - $101,020.00 per year
