Job Description
Edgarton Christian Academy Spanish Teacher Ad Edgarton Christian Academy, an independent, non-denominational PK through 8th grade Christian school, is seeking a part-time World Language Teacher for grades K through 8 who possesses a well-defined work ethic, is caring and patient, enjoys building collegial relationships, and who strives to ensure student achievement and success. While Spanish is preferred, ECA is open to exploring other languages or language programs. Situated in Newfield, New Jersey (in Gloucester County), ECA's current student enrollment is 325 students which includes a preschool program of 2 through 4-year-old students. Our lower school, which includes kindergarten through 4th grades, is self-contained. Our upper school, consisting of 5th through 8th grades, is departmentalized. For those who love to teach and are gratified by student success, there are many advantages to working at Edgarton Christian Academy. For example, due to the commitment of our families who work in partnership with our staff, Edgarton teachers can maximize the time that is spent on instruction with minimal discipline issues. The administration is supportive and encourages teachers to explore instructional creativity while valuing their professionalism. Staff is offered professional development to support specific grade level materials or to expand a specific instructional interest. Additionally, a full-time teaching assistant is assigned to kindergarten through 6th grade classrooms to assist the teacher with the instructional program and other organizational needs. ECA also possesses up-to-date technology including Chromebooks and Smart Boards. This position is a wonderful opportunity for a teacher who is retiring or resigning from a public-school teaching career, but who would still enjoy the opportunity to continue with their teaching profession in a flexible, friendly, and professional environment.
