Two full-time opportunities are available for enthusiastic, student-centered teachers ready to guide learners in developing their Spanish proficiency and global awareness.

Qualifications:

NYSED Certification required: Spanish 7-12. Completion of fingerprinting process through the NYS Department of Education (required for all new employees). Experience teaching high school students or equivalent settings preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that address diverse learning styles. Collaborative spirit and commitment to fostering an inclusive, dynamic classroom.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative, standards-based Spanish instruction for grades 9-12. Develop learning activities to enhance students speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills in Spanish. Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting instruction as needed. Foster an encouraging classroom environment that inspires curiosity and respect for other cultures. Participate in school meetings, collaborate with colleagues, and engage in ongoing professional growth. Maintain accurate records for attendance, grading, and communication with families. Support extracurricular activities or language-related school events as appropriate.
