Responsibilities Develop and deliver comprehensive Mandarin Chinese lessons aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative teaching methods and learning technology. Adapt instructional strategies to meet varied learning styles and accommodate students with special educational needs or disabilities. Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Utilize assessment tools and student performance data analysis to monitor progress, inform instruction, and provide targeted support. Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional modifications to enhance student engagement and achievement. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming activities through conferences or written updates. Incorporate cultural elements into lessons to deepen students' understanding of Chinese language, traditions, and history. Requirements Proven classroom teaching experience in elementary or middle school settings, preferably with Mandarin Chinese instruction. Strong knowledge of Mandarin language proficiency, literacy education, math integration (if applicable), and standardized testing preparation. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning technology tools, and educational compliance regulations. Experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with disabilities; knowledge of special education practices is highly valued. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and families. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate different learning styles and instructional modifications as needed. Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment. Knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education strategies, music integration (if applicable), tutoring techniques, library services knowledge, private school experience (preferred), writing skills for lesson plans or reports, childcare experience is a plus. Pay:

$25.08 - $30.20 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
