Spanish Teacher - Part-Time Position Overview Our Lady of Victory School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Spanish Teacher to provide Spanish language instruction to students in K-8. The Spanish Teacher will create engaging, age-appropriate lessons that introduce and develop students' Spanish language skills while fostering an appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures and communities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, creative in their approach to language instruction, and committed to creating a positive and engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities Teach Spanish classes to students in K-8 two days per week. Develop and deliver age-appropriate, engaging Spanish lessons. Introduce students to Spanish vocabulary, conversation, pronunciation, reading, and cultural concepts appropriate to their grade level. Incorporate songs, games, movement, projects, technology, and hands-on activities to make language learning engaging and meaningful. Differentiate instruction to meet the developmental and academic needs of students. Establish a positive, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment. Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback. Maintain accurate student grades and records as required. Collaborate with classroom teachers and school administration to support student learning. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development as requested. Support and reflect the mission and Catholic identity of Our Lady of Victory School. Serve as a positive role model for students and contribute to the overall school community. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, Foreign Language Education, or a related field preferred. Previous experience teaching Spanish to elementary and/or middle school students preferred. Strong Spanish language proficiency; native or near-native fluency preferred. Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons for a wide range of ages. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, students, and families. Commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Experience working in a Catholic school environment is a plus. Schedule This is a part-time position requiring two days per week, preferably Wednesdays & Thursdays during the regular school year. The specific schedule and instructional periods will be determined by the school.
