About this Role Responsible for providing instruction and performing lab related activities for the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration program. Instruct college students and oversees laboratory activities in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Maintains program standards in accordance with accreditation. A CCP Instructor will spend approximately 80% of the time teaching and 20% of the time handling classroom administration. This is a grant-funded position. We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Education and Experience:
A State or County HVACR Journeyman License (Verifiable if from another state);
OR NCCER
Minimum Level Two HVACR Certification or other related verifiable certification; OR HVAC Excellence Certifications; OR North American Technician Excellence Certifications; AND EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Recovery Certification; AND Four Years of verifiable experience working in the field; AND Two years of verifiable experience as a teacher and/or trainer
Knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Professional or similar application Skilled in: Attention to detail while maintaining time and task management Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication Bilingual English and Spanish written and spoken Ability to: Interpret blueprint and related symbols Demonstrate and use the technology required for the assigned course Interact in a professional manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
A verifiable state or county HVACR Journeyman license, NCCER Level Two HVAC-R certification, HVAC Excellence certification, or North American Technician Excellence certification EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Recovery certification Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English and Spanish Regular physical attendance required This job description is intended to be generic in nature and describe the essential functions of the job.
