Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Job Summary The Part-Time Spanish Teacher at St. Ann Catholic School is responsible for providing high-quality Spanish language instruction to elementary students in a faith-based learning environment. The teacher promotes language acquisition, cultural awareness, and appreciation while supporting the school's Catholic mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging Spanish language instruction focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills Incorporate cultural lessons that enhance students' understanding of Spanish-speaking countries and traditions Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment rooted in Catholic values Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with school and diocesan expectations Assess student progress and provide feedback to support language development Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to reinforce cross-curricular learning Maintain classroom organization and effective behavior management Communicate with parents and school leadership as needed regarding student progress Participate in faculty meetings and school activities as appropriate for a part-time role
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or related field Teaching experience preferred, especially at the elementary level Proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken) Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
