An exciting, full-time contract opportunity is available for the 2026-27 school year, focusing on teaching Mandarin Chinese to students in grades K-8. This position is dedicated to sharing a love of language and culture, delivering innovative lessons, and providing a supportive, inclusive classroom environment. As a Mandarin Chinese teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the linguistic and cultural fluency of tomorrow's leaders.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification or licensure (or eligibility to obtain), preferably in Foreign Language or Mandarin Chinese Demonstrated proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken Experience teaching general education or world languages at the K-8 level is highly desirable Strong classroom management and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering student engagement and collaboration Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging Mandarin Chinese lessons tailored to K-8 students Foster an immersive, respectful classroom that encourages language development and cultural exploration Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing meaningful feedback Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Mandarin Chinese into interdisciplinary projects Participate in professional development sessions and school events as needed Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, and student portfolios Perks of the
