Overview Join our dynamic educational team as a French Instructor, where your passion for language and culture will inspire adult learners from diverse backgrounds. In this role, you will deliver engaging, effective French language instruction tailored to various learning styles and proficiency levels. Your expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and classroom management will help learners achieve their language goals while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on adult education through innovative teaching methods and technology integration. Duties Design and develop comprehensive curriculum and instructional materials aligned with adult learning principles and language proficiency standards. Deliver engaging online and in-person French lessons, adapting teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and learner needs. Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies to facilitate interactive lessons, track progress, and assess learner outcomes. Implement classroom management techniques that promote respectful, inclusive, and productive learning environments for students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Coach fellow teachers on instructional best practices, classroom management, and the integration of new learning technologies. Develop assessments, quizzes, and activities to evaluate student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. Support literacy education initiatives, including working with students with visual impairments or hearing challenges such as deaf education or visually impaired education. Experience Proven experience teaching French as a second language to adult learners in classroom or online settings. Strong background in curriculum development, instructional design, and lesson planning tailored for adult education. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and various learning technology tools used in modern language instruction. Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction based on individual learning styles and instructional needs. Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, including bilingual or multilingual populations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts in English and French. Prior experience in tutoring or coaching teachers on instructional techniques is highly desirable. Knowledge of special education needs such as deaf education or literacy support for visually impaired students is a plus.
