HSE/GED Instructor - Fulltime

Through education, workforce development, and supportive services, we help our Dallas County neighbors overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve lasting stability. The Role As an HSE/GED Instructor, you'll deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that helps adult learners build the skills they need to earn their high school equivalency and reach their academic and career goals. You'll teach either virtually or in person, and play a key role in student engagement, retention, and success. Schedule and Benefits Full-time or part-time positions available based on class assignments; may include evenings or weekends Various locations in Dallas County Pay starts at $28 for part-time and $50,000 for full-time PTO and a 401(k) retirement plan What You'll Do Plan and deliver engaging HSE/GED instruction in Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science using varied teaching methods and technology Prepare weekly, standards-aligned lesson plans Support student outcomes, including passing the GED exam and demonstrating measurable academic gains Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom — in person or virtual — that promotes student success Maintain accurate attendance and progress records using program tracking systems, and partner with Case Managers to support retention Participate in mandatory meetings and complete ongoing professional development What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (teaching certification a plus) At least 1 year of experience teaching adults, in a classroom or virtual setting Strong communication and classroom management skills Comfort using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and other digital learning tools A genuine commitment to student success, equity, and inclusion If you're passionate about adult education and helping others build a path to self-sufficiency, we'd love to hear from you.
