Position Overview:
Wichita Christian School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our dynamic team and fill a part-time teaching position. The ideal candidate will inspire students to appreciate the Spanish language and culture while integrating Christian principles into their teaching. This role requires a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment where students can thrive academically and spiritually.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote language acquisition. Foster a classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and critical thinking. Integrate Christian values and principles into language instruction and classroom activities. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Collaborate with fellow faculty members to create interdisciplinary learning experiences. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field. Valid teaching certification in Spanish (or eligibility for certification). Strong proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Previous teaching experience, preferably in a Christian or private school setting. A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a Christ-centered learning environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Why Join Us?
