Department World Languages and Cultures Job Classification(s): Instructor Starting Date Fall 2026 Responsibilities The Department of World Languages and Cultures in the Prothro-Yeager College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Midwestern State University invites applications for a Visiting or Visiting Instructor of French to begin in Fall 2026. As a faculty member, you will be expected to: 1. Teach 12 credit hours (4 courses) a semester. Face-to-face and online teaching are both expected. 3. The Prothro-Yeager College of Humanities and Social Sciences consists of the academic departments of English, humanities, and philosophy; history; psychology; political science; sociology; and world languages and cultures. Each department offers majors, minors, and core curriculum courses. Faculty development funding is available at the university, college, and departmental levels. Requirements Visiting - Ph.D. required. Visiting Instructor - Minimum of M.A. French (or related field) with at least 18 graduate hours in French. Standard Requirements Requires the ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
