Willows Preparatory School (Redmond WA), a growing International Baccalaureate World School, seeks qualified candidates for a dynamic and experienced Spanish as a foreign language teacher for the 2021-22 school year and beyond. We invite motivated and innovative candidates to apply and join our growing secondary education program. Bellevue Children's Academy (PK-4) & Willows Preparatory School (5-12) is a private school for children in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade with an enrollment of more than 850 students. We offer an individualized and coordinated IB curriculum and our students are academically advanced with university aspirations, working one to two grade levels ahead of state expectations. Our curriculum is set against international standards, not state standards, further preparing our children to be dynamic and well rounded thinkers and learners. Our class sizes are small and do not exceed 15 students. BCA/WPS is a member of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), a consortium of 50 high performing international schools located across the globe.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university A minimum of two years teaching experience and/or a combination of equivalent education or experience Proficiency in oral and written Spanish Teacher certification and endorsement in secondary subject area preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead Spanish classes at the middle and high school level Integrate the cultural aspects of foreign language learning and create curriculum as needed to establish a dynamic and innovative Spanish program Direct school theatre and musical theatre productions Ability to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and communicate effectively with parents on a regular basis.
