Indeed applications will not be reviewed. The Verona Area School District is seeking a Mandarin Chinese Teacher for our K-1 multiage classroom at the Verona Area International School (VAIS). Position Responsibilities The K-1 Mandarin Chinese Teacher will: Teach Mandarin Chinese to Kindergarten and Grade 1 students in a multi-age classroom setting Support curriculum planning and development Collaborate with colleagues to provide developmentally appropriate language instruction Participate in training related to language concepts, instructional strategies, and program needs Apply age-appropriate teaching practices and pedagogy Support an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment where all students feel valued and affirmed What We're Looking For Successful candidates will demonstrate: Strong Mandarin Chinese language skills, with heritage Mandarin Chinese language skills prefered Knowledge of or experience with teaching elementary aged children Understanding and skill in applying developmentally and age-appropriate teaching practices A commitment to student learning, equity, and cultural responsiveness Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families Flexibility and willingness to participate in professional learning and curriculum development Why Verona Area School District?
