Adjunct Faculty for
Microbiology Salary:
$990/per Credit Trinity Washington University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Microbiology for the Health Professions in Fall 2026. Classes start on August 24th and are on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 - 11:45 AM, with laboratory sessions on Thursdays from 1:30-4:30 PM. We are open to having an instructor for just the lab section or both lecture and lab.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master's degree from an accredited institution in biology or a related discipline and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills. Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching practices is ideal. Finalists will be invited to campus for an interview and teaching demonstration. Preference is given to candidates who demonstrate teaching excellence with engaged and active learning practices.
