POSITION
Full-Time Biology Faculty (Assistant Professor): Natural Sciences Department; Division of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics; Tenure Track; Haverhill and Lawrence Campus'; 37.5 hours per week;MCCC/MTA
Unit Faculty Position SUMMARY:
The Natural Sciences Department is seeking a dynamic and engaging educator to teach Anatomy & Physiology I, Anatomy & Physiology II, Physiological Chemistry and additional biology service courses according to experience and expertise.RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be expected to: Teach biology courses at various levels and modalities, with an emphasis on Anatomy & Physiology and Physiological Chemistry. Participate actively in departmental meetings and collaborative activities. Deliver assigned courses on NECC's Haverhill and Lawrence campuses. Attend division meetings and other required gatherings. Contribute to college service and curriculum enhancement, including the development of online and hybrid courses. Serve as an academic advisor to assigned students. Provide student advising and maintain regular office hours. Foster a collegial and professional team environment. Demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with college-level biology teaching experience Demonstrated ability to teach within, and contribute positively to, a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population and campus environment Demonstrated sensitivity to and high expectations of academically disadvantaged students Knowledge of pedagogy of biology learning The applicant must possess good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate his/her ability and willingness to be involved in curriculum design and professional development in the area of biology instruction. The applicant should be experienced with the use of technology in the classroom and have experience with multiple forms of course deliveries throughLMS. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

SALARY:
Anticipated starting salary range is $60,483.00 - $68,484.00 (Rank of Assistant Professor with a master's degree) per academic year with complete fringe benefit package. Complete fringe benefit package including competitive health insurance, free dental insurance, basic life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid sick, vacation and personal leave, educational benefits for employee/spouse/dependents, and excellent retirement benefits. Actual salary calculated in compliance withMCCC/MTA
