Position Overview The Department of Natural and Health Sciences at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of Biology for the Fall 2026 beginning September 9, 2026. This position is to teach one laboratory section of our introductory course for majors (BIO 115: Principles of Biology I).
Major topics include:
the scientific method, macromolecules in biology, cell biology including cell division and gene expression, genetics and evolution. The position will involve using Canvas to manage lab section gradebooks, and administer and grade pre- and post-lab assignments. Salary is $4,215.98 for a 3-credit course. Please note that a full course is considered to have 9 students enrolled in the course. If a section is not full, 8 or fewer enrollees, the salary is prorated based on the number of students enrolled in the course. Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience Candidates must have a Masters Degree in their field of study and experience teaching undergraduate students. Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
