Job Description

Misericordia University is seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty positions for all departments for the 25-26 fiscal year. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to undergraduate and/or graduate students in their field of study. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with students and contribute to the academic mission of the university.

Prepare and deliver engaging and effective course lectures, discussions, and activities in alignment with the prescribed syllabus.

Develop and grade assignments, exams, and other assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and backgrounds.

Provide timely feedback to students on their academic performance and maintain regular communication through office hours and email.

Collaborate with faculty and staff in the department to enhance the curriculum and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Stay abreast of current trends and research in the field and incorporate relevant content into course materials.

Participate in departmental meetings and other academic activities as required.

Misericordia University is located adjacent to the Pocono Mountains region of Northeastern Pennsylvania, approximately 2-3 hours from New York City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.
