We seek an accomplished scholar with an outstanding record of research productivity and sustained extramural funding in neuroscience, whose work complements and strengthens existing expertise in the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program and Department of Biology, in areas such as cell and molecular neurobiology, the biology of aging and neurodegeneration, behavioral and systems neuroscience, neurological disease modeling, or developmental neurobiology. The candidate will establish their research lab in the Biology Department, housed in the world-class Life Sciences Complex while being expected to become a leader and integral, highly collaborative member of Syracuse University's Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program. The Neuroscience program serves as a nexus for all campus neuroscience research and exemplifies strong cross unit collaboration by offering intellectual and technical expertise incorporating molecular, cellular, developmental, systems, behavioral, and cognitive neuroscientific approaches to investigate basic, pre-clinical, translational, and clinical questions to unravel the relationship between brain and behavior.
