Summary:
Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (AAMU) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program. Adjunct faculty are part-time instructors responsible for delivering high-quality graduate instruction and supporting student learning in a professional and student-centered environment Examples of Duties Teach assigned MBA courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats Prepare course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with program learning outcomes Facilitate student engagement and maintain regular communication with students Evaluate student performance and submit grades in a timely manner Maintain office hours or availability for student consultation (as required) Adhere to university policies, academic standards, and accreditation requirements Participate in limited program or departmental activities as requested Typical Qualifications Earned a doctorate/terminal degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Logistics, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution OR Master's degree in the teaching discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the field, if justified by professional experience (rare and subject to accreditation standards) Evidence of professional experience and/or scholarly activity relevant to the teaching area Ability to meet professional accrediting agency faculty qualification standards Eligibility to teach graduate-level coursework Supplemental Information Preferred Qualifications Prior MBA or graduate-level teaching experience Relevant industry experience in business, accounting, finance, or management Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, PMP, SHRM, etc.) Experience with online learning platforms (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas) Evidence of teaching effectiveness
