The first course is a 1-unit course offered every Fall semester and the second course is a 2-unit course offered every Spring semester. These are both taken by integrated business and engineering students as required courses. The instructor will prepare lecture materials, student assessments (quizzes, home work assignments, exams, projects, etc.), and deliver lectures at the University of Arizona Main Campus. The ideal candidate will have academic and/or industry experience in engineering and business/entrepreneurial areas. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The University of Arizona has been recognized for our innovative work-life programs. Duties & Responsibilities Teach one section of IBE 101 Introduction to Integrated Business and Engineering Design in the Fall and one section of IBE 102 Introduction to Integrated Business and Engineering Projects in the Spring. Support the development of the course and the associated projects. Prepare and deliver instructional materials and guide/lead class activities once per week in the Fall semester at the University of Arizona Main Campus in Tucson, AZ Ensure successful delivery of the course's learning objectives through the creation and dissemination of students assessments (e.g., quizzes, homework, exams, projects, etc.) Establish and adhere to grading rubrics to ensure students understand grading expectations Provide timely feedback to students on their submitted assignments Maintain course materials in the University's chosen Learning Management System. Gather and report learning outcomes assessment to department advisor Assist in the professional development of students as appropriate
