Operations & Supply Chain Management The Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach a section of BUS 324: Introduction to Business Analytics.

Course Description :

This course introduces business analytics concepts and tools that are used in various business functions.

Consists of two distinct parts:

predictive and prescriptive modeling/analytics. The predictive analytics section covers the use of statistical data in order to understand and solve business problems. Subjects include a review of descriptive statistics tools, hypothesis testing, ANOVA and simple/multiple regression analysis. Statistical data-mining models are also discussed. Prescriptive analytics section covers deterministic optimization models. Statistical software and spreadsheet optimization are introduced. Minimum qualifications : A master's degree in business administration or a related discipline Active current industry experience in an analytics-related position Per the California State University's Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment. Preferred qualifications : A doctorate or equivalent Previous teaching experience at a four-year university and/or community college. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving our campus community as it relates to teaching and, as applicable, service. Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$5,507
