Bachelors degree required Florida certification in the subject being taught with endorsements in
ESOL/ELL
required per state guidelines, Gifted within 5 years of hire. Annual Reading training required, per Principal's decision Preferred 3 years teaching experience, with verifiable proven track record of student success Knowledgeable of the State of Florida requirement for charter schools pertinent to the charter school's curricular and instructional programs. Ability to successfully teach assigned classes in are of certification Ability to teach Computer Applications/ Computer Science Ability to handle a case management load of 22 students for AEP, tutoring and other academic issues
Language Skills:
Reads analyze, and interpret general business documents to include periodicals, professional journals, contracts, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customer, students, and the general public
Mathematical Skills:
Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Reasoning Ability:
Solve practical problems and deal with variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Must be expected to undertake duty assignement in support of the safe operations of the school environment Must possess a desire to work in a fast paced and student-focused educational environment where higher standards for job performance are expected Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Plans prepares, and delivers instruction that ensures the optimum performance of students including a rigorous reading requirement, and where applicable, the use of technology in the classroom. 2. Maintains appropriate discipline 3. Demonstrates and maintains knowledge of the subject matter assigned. Engages in professional development activities to enhance this knowledge 4.
