Associate/Full Professor, Operations Management & Supply Chain Management Position Summary:
The Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in the area of operations and supply chain management beginning in August 2027. We are seeking a seasoned educator and thought leader who combines a strong academic foundation with a passion for shaping practice-oriented insights for today's business leaders. We are seeking a seasoned educator and thought leader who combines a strong academic foundation with a passion for shaping practice-oriented insights for today's business leaders. This is not a traditional operations management role. We are looking for someone who brings a systems thinking perspective to operations that emphasizes helping leaders understand how operational choices create second- and third-order effects across interconnected value chains and organizations. We are particularly interested in candidates exploring technology's evolving role in operations ranging from business analytics and automation to AI-enabled decision-making, including how large language models and domain-specific AI shape operational resilience and performance. While this position emphasizes practical impact and executive education, we remain an AACSB-accredited institution with high standards for research productivity. Candidates must have a distinguished record of publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals as well as demonstrated excellence in teaching. However, this role is ideal for a scholar who has excelled in traditional academic research and MBA teaching and is now seeking to broaden their focus toward executive education, applied research, and practitioner-oriented thought leadership.
We especially welcome candidates who:
Have published in respected peer-reviewed journals and built a strong scholarly reputation, but also seek to translate those insights into frameworks, tools, and programs that impact practicing managers and executives. Can connect systems thinking and foresight to operational strategy, helping organizations navigate uncertainty, interconnected risks, and emerging technologies. Have experience engaging with business leaders or industry forums and can design executive education offerings that elevate Crummer's presence in practice-oriented learning. Are collaborative and thrive in Crummer's interdisciplinary, small-school environment, which emphasizes applied learning, close student-faculty engagement, and strong industry connections.
