A Business Professor teaches foundational business ideas, truths, and methods to students through a combination of classroom instruction and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the business curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field.

The roots of the Onsi Sawiris School of Business date back to 1947, when the first degree in economics was introduced in Egypt. The school has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 2006, the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)'s EQUIS, and the Association of MBAs (AMBA) since 2014, when it became among the 1% triple-crown accredited business schools in the world. Job Description:
The American University in Cairo's Onsi Sawiris School of Business invites nominations and applications for adjunct faculty positions for the Spring 2026 semester. Experienced candidates will be teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in areas of Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management, Management of Information Systems, Marketing and Operations Management.
Requirements:
Either a PhD degree or equivalent with a recent strong publication record or at least a Master's degree or equivalent with an active professional managerial position in a relevant industry. Experience with liberal arts education, innovative teaching methodologies, conducting classroom discussions, field projects and practice-oriented approaches are expected to prepare students to be successful professionals and leaders. Successful candidates will need to attend the four workshops for the teaching enhancement certificate 1 offered by the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT).
Preferred Qualifications:
Practical local, regional and/or international experience in said or related discipline. Perfect command of the English language is a must.
